Cold Curry Combo... Let's Heat it up ...

COLD CURRY COMBO

HOW TO HEAT

Bhruh 250g of chilled rice and want it warm and fluffy again? 

RICE

microwave

Quick & Easy

  1. Put the rice in a microwave-safe bowl.

  2. Add 1 and a half tablespoons of water to help steam it.

  3. Cover with a loose lid.

  4. Microwave on high for 2–3 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Stovetop

Great Texture

  1. Put the rice in a pan.

  2. Add a splash of water (about 1 and half tbsp).

  3. Optional: add diced veg, or ginger or butter for flavor.

  4. Cover with a lid and heat on low for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Oven it up

Super Easy

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).

  2. Spread the rice evenly in an oven-safe dish.

  3. Sprinkle 2 and half tablespoons of water.

  4. Cover tightly with foil to trap steam.

  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the rice is piping hot throughout.

Got 400g of chilled curry

Let’s warm it up so it’s just as planet and india as it was when I first made it. Here are three great methods depending on your setup

microwave

Fastest

  1. Place curry in a microwave-safe bowl.

  2. Cover loosely with a lid.

  3. Heat on medium-high for 3–4 minutes, stirring halfway.

  4. Check that it’s steaming hot all the way through

Stovetop

Quick & flavorful

  1. Put the curry in a pan.

  2. Heat on medium-low, stirring frequently.

  3. Add a spash of water.

  4. Simmer gently for 8–10 minutes, until hot.

Oven it up

Best for even heating

  1. Preheat your oven to 150–175°C (300–350°F).

  2. Transfer curry to an oven-safe dish and cover with foil or a lid.

  3. Add a splash of water.

  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes, stirring once halfway through.

  5. Make sure it’s piping hot throughout before serving.
